The Tahoe Sierra 100 is one of the most challenging Ultra MTB races in North America. The course is a true 100 mile course and not a lap course. Most of the trails and roads passes thought remote and rugged territory, accessible only to hikers, MTB riders, horses and 4 wheel drive vehicles. Due to the remoteness and inaccessibility of the trails, roads the Tahoe-Sierra 100 differs substantially from other organized MTB ultra races. We will be racing along roads and trails used by the gold and silver miners of the 1850’s. Adequate mental and physical preparation are of utmost importance to all the MTB racers, for the mountains, although beautiful, are relentless in their challenge and unforgiving to the ill-prepared.
