Cross country race series is a local central coast XC held near Monterey, CA. Relatively short courses (5 mile laps).

Cost: Adults $35 , Juniors $20

Description: Race routes will be approximately 5 to 6 miles in length with each start wave (9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m.) doing different number of laps. Each course consists of fire roads, single-track, loose & hard-packed trails, climbs & descents, mixed in among open meadows & tree filled terrain. The courses are very fun to ride and race, with a challenging combination of twisting single track and open fire roads on rolling terrain. There may be some sandy sections, and there will be some sharp climbs and medium technical sections to test your fitness and bike handling ability. Most of the riding is fast and fun on hard-packed trails and roads. Races are 3 to 5 laps depending on category.

They haven’t posted an official location for these races yet (might be toro park or fort ord) so there isn’t a course map yet.
