If you rode the ice last fall, get ready to rock the mud this May.
Join your fellow fat tire friends on May 1, 2010 for the first ever Mud, Sweat and Beers Mountain Bike Race.
Riders will launch and finish at Mt. Holiday Ski and Recreational Area overlooking beautiful Grand Traverse Bay. All proceeds from the event will support Mt. Holiday, the Midwest’s only non-profit 501c3 ski/mountain biking/frisbee golf area.
Choose either a 20 mile, 8 mile, or kids’ mini-loop (we like to call it Mud, Sweat and Rootbeers.) Local brews will be tapped for adult riders, who can enjoy the kids’ race later in the day while sampling TC’s best.
Mud features prominently. Sweat, too.
After launching from Mt. Holiday, riders will veer through private land, entering the VASA trail system from Holiday Road. The 8 mile loop will follow the VASA 10K loop; the 20 mile ride takes you through the beautiful 25K VASA course.
