The Jughandle Juggernaut mountain bike race will begin near the historic logging town of Caspar (between Mendocino and Fort Bragg). Check in at the Caspar Community Center before heading over to the racer meeting and neutral logging road start near The Scales. The course will be on the 2011 Caspar Classic 10-mile race course in Jackson Demonstration State Forest. Choose one or two laps for your race. This is a fun and challenging course that will test everyone’s abilities from beginner to expert alike. The Jughandle Juggernaut is the second in the Caspar Cup Series, following the Caspar Classic Mountain Bike Race, which is on Labor Day Weekend. Award Ceremony at 1:00pm at the Caspar Community Center, where the Fat Tire Festival fun continues. Winners take home custom made trophies, with Series winners taking home the Caspar Cup. We’ll have food & drinks, featuring local beers; handmade pizza by the best pizza maker in town, using the wood-fired oven on site; a kiddie and adult skills course, cycling films and live music. You won’t want to leave. Free, post-ride showers at the beautiful CV Starr Center in Fort Bragg for all Juggernaut racers. THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT
