Gordon Barker “No Brakes” Bike Race benefits the Stratham Hill Park Association and to honor Gordon Barker. Since 1906, the Association has proudly served to oversee the Park. Although Town funds are budgeted for general park maintenance, the Association is responsible for implementing long-term projects through donations of time and funds from businesses and individuals.
This is a cross-country style events that take place in the Stratham Hill Park on the trails, fields and pathways. The surface areas include paved walkways, gravel, dirt, grass and mud. There are several steep descending and ascending grades, which the participants will encounter. The course is a 9 mile loop. Two loops for expert and advanced and one loop for sport and beginner. There will be a staggered start. Expert and advanced will start at 11:00 a.m. The sport and beginner will start after the last expert/ advanced completes their first lap.
