On Sunday, July 26, 2009 Blue Ridge Adventures will host the 10th Annual Off Road Assault on Mt. Mitchell. The Off Road Assault on Mt. Mitchell is a 63 mile mostly off road Bicycle route with 11,000 feet of climbing.
Marathon
Cost: $100 until July 19, 2009, $120 if received thereafter
Course Description: Mt. Mitchell peaks at 6684 ft and is the highest mountain east of the Mississippi river. The town of Old Fort where you start and finish sits at around 1400 feet. Most of the climbing is on Forest Service roads while most of the single track points downhill!

I was wondering how we could advertize with you. We have had bikers stay at our resort and campground in the pass and are staying with us again this year.
