The 16th Annual Cool MTB Race kicks off the Sierra Nevada MTB season. Always muddy, sometime snowy, this race is always unpredictable.

This race is a fundraiser for trail construction & maintenance in the Auburn State Recreation Area.

CROSS COUNTRY : The Olmstead Loop is located behind the Fire Station in Cool, CA. on Hwy 49, 6 miles south of Auburn. The race course is approximately 10 miles long and consists of 85% fire roads and 15% single track, with several grades and water crossings. The course will be muddy on race day. Approved helmets are required and protective eye-wear is recommended.
