The White Knob Challenge, Lost River Cycling’s signature event, is the longest-running mountain bike race in the Northwest. This classic cross-country race sponsored by the physicians and surgeons of Intermountain Orthopedics in Boise starts from Main Street in Mackay at 12:00PM on Saturday, Aug 2. Racers take off from Main Street on a 9-mile ascent that features 2,300 feet in elevation gain, followed by a rip-roaring roller coaster descent to the valley floor. Stay Saturday night and explore the nearby mountains or take that hike to the Top of Idaho’s Highest Peak — Mt. Borah. More information available on www.lostrivercycling.org
